The results for CBSE (Central Board for Secondary Education) Class 10 exams have been declared today ahead of time. According to the official website, it was earlier scheduled to be released at 2 pm, but was announced before that at around 12:40 pm.

The exams were conducted from March 1 to 28, 2016. All those students who have appeared for the same, are required to check their scores at the below mentioned websites.

Region wise topper:

Thiruvananthapuram region recorded the overall highest pass percentage with 99.87 per cent, followed by Chennai which recorded a pass percentage of 99.69. The Class 12 Board results were also announced on May 21 and the region got the highest pass percentage in it also.

Number of students appeared:

A total of 14,91,29,3 students had registered for the exam, out of which 88,82,52 were boys and 60,30,41 were girls. Out of the total registered candidates, 14,89,02,1 had appeared for the exam, out of which 88,67,41 were boys and 60,22,80 were girls.

Girls again on top:

Girls once again performed better than boys, with the overall pass percentage of boys being 96.11 per cent, and that of girls being 96.36 per cent.
