SBI PO Recruitment 2019: The Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment notification has been released by the State Bank of India (SBI) on the official website, the link for which is sbi.co.in

The online registration process for the PO Recruitment 2019 has started on the website of SBI. The last date to apply online is April 22.

Meanwhile, the online preliminary examination for SBI PO Exam 2019 will be conducted on June 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th.

As per the official notification released by SBI, the recruitment exam will be held to fill a total of 2,000 posts.

  • Download of call letters for online Preliminary Examination: 3rd week of May 2019
  • Online Preliminary Examination: June 8, 9, 15, 16, 2019
  • Result of Online Preliminary Examination: 1st week of July 2019

Selection procedure:

The selection for Probationary Officers will be done through a three tiered process:

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section).

Selection criteria for Main Examination:

Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Exam. There will be no sectional cut-off.

Candidates numbering 10 times the numbers of vacancies (approx.) in each category will be shortlisted for Main Examination from the top of above merit list.

Phase-II: Main Examination: Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer the Descriptive Test by typing on the computer.

The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after completion of the Objective Test.(i) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing and Essay).

The candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank's website https://bank.sbi/careersor https://www.sbi.co.in/careers. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/Internet Banking.
